The aim of this event is to exchange experience, improve existing mapping practices and popularize free cartography around the world.

The participants of State of the Map Europe are not only cartography enthusiasts, but also developers, scientists, designers, social activists and other people, enterprises and institutions who are familiar with the topic of cartography

This year, the State of the Map Europe 2024 organizing committee together with the OpenStreetMap Poland association decided to hold this year's event in Łódź, which is located in the very heart of Poland. The event is scheduled for July 18-21, 2024.

that many participants we expect to see in July in Łódź

The previous edition, which took place in Antwerp (2023), had around 300 participants. We expect that over 400 participants from Europe and around the world will take part in this year's conference, due to its anniversary nature and the end of problems related to pandemics.

Sponsors

Separately, we would like to thank our sponsors — without them, State of the Map EU would be difficult to hold.

As a sign of gratitude, we would like to briefly introduce each of them.

Silver plus

The project is being implemented by industrial consortium partners: T-Systems, CloudFerro, Sinergise, VITO, DLR, ACRI-ST, and RHEA.

Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) is an initiative of the European Space Agency and the European Commission that is revolutionizing the processing and distribution of Copernicus Earth Observation (EO) data.

The project is being implemented by industrial consortium partners: T-Systems, CloudFerro, Sinergise, VITO, DLR, ACRI-ST, and RHEA.

The Copernicus Data Space includes one of the largest public EO data repository in the world, providing immediate access to 78 PB of open and free EO data from the Copernicus Sentinel satellites, including both new and historical Sentinel images, as well as Copernicus Contributing Missions. The new service provides a wide range of novel functionalities for service providers, and creates a long-term impact on European science, economy, and society. As the CDSE consortium, we are happy to be a Silver Plus Partner of the State of the Map Europe edition.
